Tourist boards- Tourist boards play an important role by helping destinations and co-ordinating the work of tourism
businesses. They want more people to spend money .Tourist boards get their money from the government (National and
Local) and it operates in the public sector. This sector play
an important role in Travel and Tourism in the UK because they promote tourism and
attract domestic and inbound tourists to the UK.

ect. These website show people who are visiting that area what is happening

Now that technology has improved to the way it is these days it shows that in the future you will be able to do everything on the internet, therefore this may end up having less travel agents than few years ago.

The opening of the Channel Tunnel has created a passage for trains and lorries to get through and have access to other places around the UK. It was introduced in 1994 and is 50 kilometers long. There are 2 separate tunnels one for trains to go through and one for trucks and Lorries to get through.This is known to be quicker than a ferry to France. The channel tunnel has become a very popular way to travel recently as its known for its speed.
The growth of Cruising has grown significantly since the 1960's as it was first seen as only for the rich but now that there are different types of cruises they are available to anyone.Depending on wealth and what type of interests you have, there will be a range of cruises for tourists to choose from as every different cruise provide different activities. Before most countries became part of the euro each country had their own type of currency so when you was traveling to different destinations and wanted to change currency you had to have different currency in each country you went to.
